Our Mission

There’s a famous quote by Shakespeare “all the world is a stage, each of us a player, all of us with our entrances and exits”. As black artists in America too often the stage isn’t set to tell our story. We find ourselves waiting in the wings for our queue, and for our time to take the stage. Though too often we find ourselves as props, a part of the background used as accessories to fill in the plot of a European antagonist. We found that the creative world was lacking, not in availability, not in talent, not in story or even integrity, but in representation. MAC Boys Entertainment (MBE) came into existence with the soul purpose of filling that void. MBE is a theatre company birthed in the heart of Central Florida with the goal of bringing the work and stories of black, indigenous, and people of color to the forefront. It was created with the idea that theatre can be, and do anything. That the color of a person’s skin does not determine their talent or their range. We see the stage as a blank canvas and we intend to paint it with all the colors god has put at our disposal. MBE is on a mission to bring more BIPOC art first to Central Florida, then to the world.
